Empowering Uganda’s Youth Through Education and Access
The Hamda Taryam Foundation is proud to launch the Gateway to Knowledge & Information Centre in Uganda—an ambitious project dedicated to equipping the next generation with the tools they need to thrive. This initiative will establish a fully equipped library tailored for secondary school students, supporting over 1,000 learners preparing for their 'O' and 'A' level examinations in both sciences and the arts.
🎯 Project Goals
- Promote a Culture of Reading: Offering a rich collection of books and materials to encourage academic excellence.
- Integrate Technology: Providing digital resources and training to build essential 21st-century skills.
- Foster Collaboration: Creating a platform for local libraries to share resources and knowledge.
- Support Educators: Facilitating training for staff to enhance their ability to guide students effectively.
📈 Why It Matters
As noted by Uganda’s National Planning Authority, despite the creation of 1.6 million jobs between 2016 and 2021, youth unemployment remains a critical issue. This project addresses that challenge by advancing skills development and structured education—empowering young Ugandans to achieve financial independence and build better futures.
💡 Project Funding & Commitment
The project is funded at AED 255,000, reflecting our strong commitment to sustainable, community-focused educational development.
